Free topic: ONE PIECE

Resultado de imagen para chopper one piece

I never thought in my life that I would see one piece, ¿more than 800 chapters? No, thanks. However, I fell like many others. I still think that Full Metal Alchemist is the best anime ever, but one piece is not that far behind either. One piece has the perfect mix between comedy, adventure and an interesting plot. I'm not up to date with the broadcast chapters, but I love their characters very much, they are all very friendly and adorable, it is very easy to empathize with each one of them and, frankly, I would like to be part of their crew. Approximately in chapter 60 I get caught in this anime, they specifically tell the story of Chopper, a reindeer part of the mugiwaras. Without lying, I cried for 40 minutes in a row, the story shattered me and I was also very high. One of the things I like is how the plot is gradually connecting, many information gaps are revealed many chapters later, without appearing forced but very transcendental and necessary. But, and it is very evident within the anime, the graphic and the style that the author uses are quite deficient and disproportionate, although it is constantly improving.

Free topic: My cats

During my life I have had many pets, but my favorites are cats. Today I will tell you about my cats. I have 5 cats, their names are Olivia, Corazona, Roger, Jean Paul and Lilith. However, I'm going to focus on the last two, since these are essentially "mine", because the first three are from my sister.

Jean Paul is about 4 years old, he is a thin and long cat, with abundant fur and gray tones, his hair is always messy, he has pretty eyes and a giant nose. He is really very tender, when he runs he looks like an angel. He's pretty lazy, but let me do what I want with him, except when he's cranky. One of his best qualities is that he knows how to hang on me, without having to hold it. He loves to knead soft blankets, play on the ground, sleep in the sun, steal or order food and disturb other cats.

Lilith or Guarena is my youngest cat, she is a year and a half old, and I picked her up from the street. It is small and fat, has a short and brindle fur. She loves that I touch her ass while eating and always  talks to me a lot (with his meows). It seems that she was a very calm cat, but in reality she is a savage, loves to play and hunt animals. She kill several baby rabbits and play with them in the garden. Another time she brought a medium rabbit and then we gave it up for adoption. And, one last time, I saw her playing with the corpse of a large rabbit.

One of my favourite TV show: Twin peaks

Twin Peaks is a TV show that started in 1990, was created by David Lynch. It has three seasons, the first two were shown in 1990, but the third season was broadcasted 25 years later in 2015. I think Twin Peaks was the first work that I saw of David Lynch, althought the first season seems to me very boring and slow, especially due the well-known  topic of the "enigmatic girl found dead", I was still watching it because I felt that something big was about to happen.  It's very difficult trying to define what it is about, maybe impossible, so I will not do it. What I have to say about is that twin peaks is a mixture of many dimensions, images, time and space, how is put together and under what sense is a indefinite territory. I have my own theory about that, but honestly depends of the point of view, there is many explanations possible. Twin peaks progressively envelops you in a dreamlike atmosphere, full of unsolved questions.

One of the aspects that I like most is when they develop the black lodge, an extradimensional place that connects with the white lodge through the red room . In turn, the black lodge connects with the town of twin peaks and houses all the evil and darkness, in it we can see characters such as the dwarf, the giant, Laura Palmer and even the Cooper agent that finally manages to access.

Pos graduate studies

The only studies I have at the moment correspond to the degree in Social Anthropology that should end this year. In 2020 I will present the thesis that I am already starting in the course of a research workshop. If everything goes well, I think it would be an option to work, however I am attracted to the possibility of continuing to study, especially outside of Chile, to be able to know other perspectives that are not those that are managed in this university. I have thought of a master's degree at the UNAM of Mexico, characterized by the power of its anthropological training. I do not rule out European countries, but they are not my first option. Mainly I would like to work on gender, ethnicity or climate change.
Anyway, I don't tend to think too much about continuing to specialize, even though it's something I want. I prefer to live the processes of the present and focus on it, the future is too uncertain in my career. In addition, of course, any post-university study will have to leave my pocket, or win a scholarship, but again, considering the competition and the few places, it is rather uncertain.

MY FUTURE JOB

In the future, I don´t know what could be my job, there is a lot of possibilities at this moment and no certainty. What I am clear about is that as an anthropologist I would like to contribute to investigating a lot of topics, but in a free atmosphere without so much hierarchy. On one hand, I would love to have the opportunity to travel around Latin America while I still working with communities, but I also like the most audiovisual part of anthropology, such as ethnographic documentaries or as an assistant to certain scripts.

But, in reality, I think I would not like to have only one profession for life, even though the anthropological practice is very diverse. I get bored easily, so I would like explore other skills. I would like to work in other activities that I enjoy and be able to do them a job, such as writing or drawing, but I would need a lot of practice. However, for any of these options, it would be appropriate to continue studying and specializing in the future.

Entry 2:

I think the best holiday of my life was last year when I traveled to San Pedro de Atacama with seven of my closely friends. First, we gathered in the bus station of Estación central because some of us are from Talca and Constitución, then start going to the airport. After long hours of waiting and finally took the plane, we arrived to Calama, a city very dry and without any vegetation. Was extremely strange to me the difference in the air and landscape. in that trip I realized that I don´t like traveled in a plane, makes me feel uncomfortable and for some reason, I think fly it’s not natural on humans. The desert seems to me very mysterious, it’s kind amazing still have the opportunity of visit places that had just a little human intervention  and are protected by the native communities. Also, desert sky showed all the stars that the lights of city hide and all the colors of the sunset those buildings hides in the most of the urban places in the world.

Entry 1:Perú

At this moment, the place I would like to visit the most in the world is Peru. On the one hand, it's a wonderful, historical and magical place with many places and cultural expressions to see, but on the other hand, it's very cheap and the border is full of nearby natural places in the desert, like salt of Uyuni. Also, in my last travel into the desert of Atacama I was very close and I felt a little sad because with a few more time and money I could easily arrived to Arequipa in a bus.

This country has many places considered for travellers as natural monuments and even Machu Picchu is universally known as a one of the wonders of the world. I love landscapes so I obviously will climb Arcoíris Mountain and I hope not get altitude sickness. The ancient capital of Inca Empire, Cuzco, makes me really stimulate, it's like a window to the past. Also, a lake called Titicaca cause me a similar impression, its islands are the home of different native community

And finally, being honest, one of the most important reasons for visit Peru is meet one of my favourite animal, the alpaca.

MY FAV SUBJECT THIS TERM: ANTHROPOLOGY AND HISTORY

This semester I've enjoyed a theoretical subject called "Anthropology and history". We have class every Thursday for one hour and a half. In class the teacher talk us about the relationship between anthropology, history and literature, every class he explain a book and puts it in a larger context, linking it to other authors, perspectives, theoretical fields, etc. One of the things that I like most about the class is when the professor talks to us about his experience studying the history of the whalers in the south of our country, he gets very excited and that is why the students have named this branch for years as "whales." He is also a very adorable man, is very flexible about our times and does not exploit us academically.

In past classes, we have passed the relationship between anthropology and history through time, the ethnography of the past, microhistory, ethnographic narrative, among other topics. Something I specially enjoy about are the readings we have class to class. I also have to admit that one of the things I like about this class is that there is a very relaxed atmosphere.

Rita Segato

About the visit of Rita Segato to our university,
I'm going to write about her.
She is a feminist anthropologist,
born on August 14, 1951, in Argentina.
After finishing her PhD studies, she became
a professor at the University of Brasilia.
there begins with his studies of gender
violence, moving later to Ciudad Juarez.

The vast majority of their works talk about
the patriarchal structure, making visible,
Professora Rita Segato concede entrevista à Secom UnB (39390738295).jpgapart from the gender,
 race and social
class in Latin America, as a colonial and
oppression mark. Some of his most
 recognized works are "The elementary
structures of violence",

the tenacity and authenticity of her struggle

Music I like

I always try to listen music doing every activity, especially when I have to walk a lot in the city. Music can convert a simple and boring task in a inspirational moment. I think there is at least one song for every period of my life and bands that have accompanied me long years of my life, influencing me many years.

All the songs that I have were download files from the internet. Cd's, vinyl records and other forms are very expensive in this country. On the other had, I would love to have my own collection of vinyls

I think if I was a song, I would probably be one of Radiohead, a band that I've been listening to since i was a little girl. The song it's maybe Daydreaming from the album A moon shaped pool

About my musical skills, I have to be honest, I don't have any. Play a musical instrument make me very nervous when there is pressure from a teacher for example. I enjoyed sing when no one is around me but I'm very out of tune singing. Finally I think music has the quality of bringing people together, making them enjoy, making them reflect, understanding themselves and others, it is a very important tool for everyone.

THE STORY BEHIND A PICTURE

I really like take photos of nature and people spontaneously, but I never have enough money to buy a professional camera. This photo was taken by me in the summer, exactly on the first week of February because at this period of the year the water of the waterfall was less cold than the rest of the year.

In this photo you can see a mountainous landscape with a waterfall, green trees and a mountain called "Colmillo del diablo". This place is known as "El Bolsón " and it's located in Region del Maule in the National Park "Radal 7 tazas", close to the town of Molina.

I love it because it reminds me a long, exhausting and amazing trip with a very close person. Also makes me remember all the times when I was swimming in the river or the waterfall without any concern.
